Description:
I have SS Pro 9 installed on a Windows 2003 R2 server. I need to move it to a new server (Windows 2008 R2) that will be the same name. I see that the current location for the DB is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\InterMart\SSProfessional_9\Database I just want to verify with you the proper procedure. I figured I`d change things by asking your assistance before I go and start :-).

Solution: Install the server CD on the new server. However, only install SQL Server (top button), not the Server Tools (bottom button). Detach your database from your old server, copy the two database files (ssdata_sql_01.mdf and .ldf) to the new server and attach them to your new SQL Server. If your new server has a new name, you will need to adjust the configuration string on the Admin tab, Set Database Connection screen in Shipping Solutions on each client workstation.
