Welcome to the latest version of our Shipping Solutions export documentation and compliance software.
While the software is still the fast, easy and affordable way to create your export forms, file through AES, and stay compliant with U.S. export regulations, we have rebuilt it from the ground up using the latest technology to improve the user interface, increase performance, and incorporate many of the suggestions we have received from our loyal Shipping Solutions customers.

A New Look
We have made Shipping Solutions Professional version 9 nicer to look at while maintaining the same workflow that made previous versions of the software so easy to use.
On the opening splash screen of Shipping Solutions, we've replaced the menu links with menu tabs that you click to move from one part of the program to another. Just like the previous versions, you still click on the EZ Start tab to enter your information to build a shipment, and you still use the Databases tab to store information about your company, your products and your customers, so you don't have to manually type that information every time.
We've also now added a Utilities tab and an Admin tab in addition to the Tools tab to give you additional functionality and control over how you can use Shipping Solutions to create your export forms:
- We've moved the Shipping Solutions' Report, Shipping Labels and Conversion Calculator features to the new Utilities tab and improved the capabilities of each.
- On the Tools tab, we've improved the way users import and export information into and out of the product and contact databases, provided a centralized customization window that makes modifying and previewing your export forms easier, and added the ability to backup the Shipping Solutions database to protect your data and to lock individual shipment records once they have been finalized to prevent any further changes.
- We've created the new Admin tab to allow an administrator to set up individual user accounts and user groups and assign specific rights to those groups. Individual users can set up their own profiles to store their basic information including a company logo, if they want that to print on several of the export forms, as well as an electronic copy of their signature, which will also automatically print out on specific export documents. We've also improved the look and functionality of the Data Exchange Manager (formally called the Integration Utility) to make it easier to use and allow users to import much more information from their company accounting, order-entry or ERP system than in previous versions of Shipping Solutions.

In addition to the new capabilities mentioned above, Shipping Solutions Professional version 9 includes several more new features and capabilities not available in previous versions of the software:
- The Preview, Print and Email features have all been combined into a single window, so you can handle all your output options at one time. We've added the ability to print your export forms to the PDF file format as individual document files or into one file containing all the export forms for a shipment. The improved email option gives you that same option.

- We've eliminated the need for a separate Shipping Solutions Consolidation Utility and added that functionality to the menu bar on the EZ Start tab. This utility allows you to combine several individual shipment records in Shipping Solutions into a single set of export documents that you can preview, print, email, screen with the Export Compliance Module, and submit electronically to the Automated Export System (AES).

- Not all users want U.S. dollars to appear on their commercial and proforma invoices for every shipment, and so we've given you the option to select any currency of the world, and the software will automatically insert the correct currency symbol and formatting on the invoices while retaining the correct value in U.S. dollars for filing through AES.
- Shipping Solutions Professional version 9 includes several new databases that weren't available in previous versions including IATA and IMO databases for your dangerous goods, and a Payment Terms Database for use on the commercial and proforma invoices.
- We spent a considerable amount of time reviewing the printed versions of all the existing export documents improving the look of many of those forms while also adding the U.S. – Australia Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin, the U.S. – Korea Free Trade Agreement COO, and an eDoc version of the Canada Customs Invoice for filing with Canadian customs.

New Technology
We built this new version of the Shipping Solutions software using a .NET framework and a SQL database core design. Not only does this new technology make the software more robust, it improves Shipping Solutions' performance especially when running the multi-user version over a network.
This newer technology also makes it easier to add new features to future releases of Shipping Solutions Professional version 9, while also improving our capability to customize the software for users without impacting the program's core functionality.
